Index of the number of employees in industry, February 2011

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in February 2011, in comparison with the same month of the previous year, was 101.9.

The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in February 2011, in comparison with February 2010, increased by 3.8%, in Manufacturing industry it increased by 1.7% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 2.7%.

The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groups in February 2011, in comparison with February 2010, was higher in Energy by 2.0%, Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 5.6%, and Capital goods industries by 6.4%.

The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - February 2011, in comparison with January - February 2010, was 100.9.
