The number of employees in industry in February 2010, in comparison with the same month of the previous year, decreased by 7.6%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in February 2010, in comparison with the same month of previous year, was 92.4.

The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and Quarrying in February 2010, in comparison with February 2009, decreased by 8.3%, in Manufacturing industry it decreased by 8.1% and in the section Electricity, gas and water supply it decreased by 3.0%.

In February 2010, the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia, in comparison with the average number of the employees in industry in 2005, decreased by 16.3%.

The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - February 2010, in comparison with January - February 2009, was 92.6.
