According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in July 2019, in comparison with July 2018, was 97.5.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in July 2019, in comparison with July 2018, decreased by 2.1%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 2.6%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.3%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in July 2019, in comparison with July 2018, was higher in Capital goods by 6.3%, but lower in Energy by 1.2%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 2.8%, Durable consumer goods by 4.3% and Nondurable consumer goods by 5.6%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - July 2019, in comparison with January - July 2018, was 98.8.
