According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in January 2019, in comparison with January 2018, was 101.2.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in January 2019, in comparison with January 2018, increased by 1.0%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.3% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 0.2%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in January 2019, in comparison with January 2018, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 0.8% and Capital goods by 16.0%, but lower in Energy by 0.3%, Durable consumer goods by 3.8% and Non-durable consumer goods by 2.9%.
