According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in December 2018, in comparison with December 2017, was 102.5.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in December 2018, in comparison with December 2017, increased by 2.9%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 2.6% while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.6%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2018, in comparison with December 2017, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 3.0%, Capital goods by 16.5%, but lower in Energy by 0.8%, Durable consumer goods by 3.4% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.3%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - December 2018, in comparison with January - December 2017, was 105.9.
