According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in August 2018, in comparison with August 2017, was 105.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in August 2018, in comparison with August 2017, increased by 1.9%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 5.7% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 1.7%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2018, in comparison with August 2017, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 8.3%, Capital goods by 21.5%, Non-durable consumer goods by 0.2%, and in Energy by 0.4%, while it decreased in Durable consumer goods by 1.4%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - August 2018, in comparison with January - August 2017, was 107.2.
