According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in June 2018, in comparison with June
2017, was 107.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in June 2018, in comparison with June 2017, increased by
2.1%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 8.1%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
decreased by 0.2%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in June 2018, in comparison with June 2017, was higher in
Intermediate goods, except energy by 13.7%, Capital goods by 22.5% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.4%, but lower in Energy
by 0.7% and in Durable consumer goods by 1.3%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - June 2018, in comparison with January - June 2017, was
107.5.
