According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in April 2018, in comparison with April
2017, was 108.4.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in April 2018, in comparison with April 2017, increased
by 1.3%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 9.4% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
decreased by 0.1%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in April 2018, in comparison with April 2017, was higher in
Intermediate goods, except energy by 15.7%, Capital goods by 24.6% and Non-durable consumer goods by 2.1%, lower in Energy by 0.6% but it was on the same level in Durable consumer goods.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - April 2018, in comparison with January - April 2017, was
107.2.
