According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in July 2017, in comparison with
July 2016, was 102.6.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in July 2017, in comparison with July 2016, increased
by 0.3%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 3.0%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning
supply it decreased by 0.3%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in July 2017, in comparison with July 2016, was higher in
Energy by 0.9%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 8.1%, Capital goods by 11.8% and Durable consumer goods by 2.7%, but
lower in Non-durable consumer goods by 2.1%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - July 2017, in comparison with January - July 2016, was
101.1.
