Indices of the number of employees in industry, April 2017

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in April 2017, in comparison with
April 2016, was 100.5.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in April 2017, in comparison with April 2016, decreased
by 0.1%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 0.6%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning
supply it decreased by 0.6%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in April 2017, in comparison with April 2016, was higher in
Energy by 0.7%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 2.1%, Capital goods by 10.7% and Durable consumer goods by 4.7%, but
lower in Non-durable consumer goods by 3.1%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - April 2017, in comparison with January - April 2016,
was 100.4.
