According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in October 2016, in comparison
with October 2015, was 98.6.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2016, in comparison with October 2015,
increased by 3.2%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 1.8%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air
conditioning supply it increased by 0.6%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in October 2016, in comparison with October 2015, was
lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.4% and Non-durable consumer goods by 3.7%, but higher in Energy by 3.1%,
Capital goods by 4.3% and Durable consumer goods by 5.1%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - October 2016, in comparison with January - October
2015, was 100.3.
