According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in August 2016, in comparison
with August 2015, was 98.9.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in August 2016, in comparison with August 2015,
increased by 1.7%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 1.3%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air
conditioning supply it decreased by 0.3%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2016, in comparison with August 2015, was higher
in Energy by 1.0%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 0.3%, Capital goods by 8.2% and Durable consumer goods by 3.4%,
but lower in Non-durable consumer goods by 4.3%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - August 2016, in comparison with January - August
2015, was 100.6.
