According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in May 2015, in comparison with
May 2014, was 101.9.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2015, in comparison with May 2014,
decreased by 7.0%, in the section Manufacturing industry it increased by 2.8%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and
air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.3%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2015, in comparison with May 2014, was higher
in Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 3.2%, Capital goods industries by 17.7% and Durable consumer goods
industries by 2.0%, but lower in Energy by 2.7% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 0.8%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - May 2015, in comparison with January - May 2014,
was 102.0.
