The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, decreased by 1.6%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 5.0%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply decreased by 2.5%. The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was lower in Energy by 3.3%, in Capital goods by 3.0%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.3%, and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.9%. While the number of employees in industry was higher in Durable consumer goods by 25.7%. The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - December 2024, in comparison with January - December 2023, was 99.7.
