According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in May 2024, in comparison with May
2023, was 101.5.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2024, in comparison with May 2023, increased by
4.1 %, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.4% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
increased by 0.6%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2024, in comparison with May 2023, was higher in Energy
by 4.0%, Capital goods by 17.1% and Durable consumer goods by 14.6%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 7.0%, and
Non-durable consumer goods by 5.5%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - May 2024, in comparison with January - May 2023, was 101.8.
