According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in March 2024, in comparison with
March 2023, was 101.7.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2024, in comparison with March 2023, increased
by 5.6%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.5%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
increased by 0.7%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in March 2024, in comparison with March 2023, was higher in
Energy by 4.3%, Capital goods by 16.0% and Durable consumer goods by 11.5%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by
7.1%, and Non-durable consumer goods by 3.9%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - March 2024, in comparison with January - March 2023, was
101.9.
