According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in January 2024, in comparison with January 2023, was 102.6.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in January 2024, in comparison with January 2023, increased by 6.0%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 2.4% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 0.8%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in January 2024, in comparison with January 2023, was higher in Energy by 4.5%, Capital goods by 17.5% and Durable consumer goods by 1.6%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.9%, and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.7%.
