According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in October 2023, in comparison with
October 2022, was 102.9.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2023, in comparison with October 2022, decreased
by 0.4%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 3.5% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
decreased by 5.1%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in October 2023, in comparison with October 2022, was higher in
Capital goods by 17.5% and Non-durable consumer goods by 0.2%, but lower in Energy by 4.2%, Intermediate goods, except energy
by 4.1% and Durable consumer goods by 4.1%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - October 2023, in comparison with January - October 2022,
was 101.2.
