According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in September 2023, in comparison with
September 2022, was 102.4.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in September 2023, in comparison with September 2022,
decreased by 1.6%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 3.1% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning
supply it decreased by 5.1%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in September 2023, in comparison with September 2022, was higher
in Capital goods by 15.7%, lower in Energy by 4.3%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 3.7% and Durable consumer goods by 4.7%,
and Non-durable consumer goods remain on the same level.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - September 2023, in comparison with January - September
2022, was 101.1.
