According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in August 2023, in comparison with
August 2022, was 101.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in August 2023, in comparison with August 2022, decreased
by 1.7%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.9% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
decreased by 5.9%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2023, in comparison with August 2022, was higher in
Capital goods by 13.5%, but lower in Energy by 4.6%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 3.9%, Durable consumer goods by 5.8%
and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.0%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - August 2023, in comparison with January - August 2022, was
100.9.
