According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in May 2023, in comparison with May
2022, was 100.8.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2023, in comparison with May 2022, decreased
by 2.2%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.3% and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
decreased by 4.0%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2023, in comparison with May 2022, was higher in Capital
goods by 12.1%, but lower in Energy by 5.2%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 3.1%, Durable consumer goods by 5.8% and
Non-durable consumer goods by 1.8%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - May 2023, in comparison with January - May 2022, was
101.0.
