According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in January 2023, in comparison with January 2022, was 100.5.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in January 2023, in comparison with January 2022, decreased by 3.4%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.0%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 3.8%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in January 2023, in comparison with January 2022, was higher in Capital goods by 12.7%, but lower in Energy by 5.5%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.2%, Durable consumer goods by 4.3% and Non-durable consumer goods by 3.8%.
