Index of the number of employees in industry, April 2014

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in April 2014, in comparison with April 2013, was 107.1.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in April 2014, in comparison with April 2013, decreased by 1.9%, in the section Manufacturing industry it increased by 8.5%, whereas in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.8%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in April 2014, in comparison with April 2013, was higher in Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 1.5%, Capital goods industries by 92.2%, Durable consumer goods industries by 6.1% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 3.1%, but lower in Energy by 4.0%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - April 2014, in comparison with January - April 2013, was 106.9.
