According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in March 2014, in comparison
with March 2013, was 107.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2014, in comparison with March 2013,
decreased by 1.3%, in the section Manufacturing industry it increased by 8.7%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and
air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.5%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in March 2014, in comparison with March 2013, was higher in
Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 1.9%, Capital goods industries by 86.9%, Durable consumer goods industries
by 3.7% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 3.7%, but lower in Energy by 1.8%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - March 2014, in comparison with January - March 2013,
was 106.9.
