According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in October 2013, in comparison with October 2012, was 102.8.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2013, in comparison with October 2012, increased by 9.2%, in the section Manufacturing industry it increased by 2.3%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 1.5%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in October 2013, in comparison with October 2012, was higher in Energy by 7.2%, Capital goods industries by 1.5%, Durable consumer goods industries by 4.8% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 3.4%, but lower in Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 0.1%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - October 2013, in comparison with January - October 2012, was 101.0.
