Index of the number of employees in industry, May 2013

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in May 2013, in comparison with
May 2012, was 100.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2013, in comparison with May 2012, increased
by 8.8%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 0.6%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air
conditioning supply it increased by 1.9%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2013, in comparison with May 2012, was higher
in Energy by 7.8% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 0.9%, but lower in Intermediate goods industries, except
energy by 2.9%, Capital goods industries by 4.4% and Durable consumer goods industries by 0.7%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - May 2013, in comparison with January - May 2012,
was 100.6.
