According to the data of the State Statistical Office, a total of 16 492 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport in the first quarter of 2020, a decrease of 17.0% compared to the same period last year. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport decreased by 16.9%, in suburban transport by 16.3%, in national transport by 19.6%, and in international transport by 33.2%.
In the first quarter of 2020, in comparison with the same period of 2019, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport decreased by 25.7%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport decreased by 4.1%, while in suburban transport by 40.8%, in national transport by 20.1%, and in international transport by 30.5%.
