According to the data of the State Statistical Office, a total of 20 796 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport in the fourth quarter of 2019, a decrease of 3.5% compared to the same period last year. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 1.7%, while in suburban transport it decreased by 5.3%, in national transport by 24.2%, and in international transport by 24.5%.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, in comparison with the same period of 2018, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport decreased by 13.2%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport increased by 1.1%, while in suburban transport it decreased by 3.4%, in national transport by 23.3%, and in international transport by 21.9%.
