Transport of passengers by bus, second quarter of 2018

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the second quarter of 2018, compared to the same period of 2017, the total number of passengers carried in road passenger transport decreased by 1.0%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport declined by 2.3%, in suburban transport by 0.1% and in international transport by 8.7%, whereas in national transport it increased by 4.0%. In comparison with the first quarter of 2018, the total number of passengers carried grew by 4.6%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 4.7%, in suburban transport by 5.1%, in national transport by 2.0% and in international transport by 8.6%. In the second quarter of 2018, in comparison with the same period of 2017, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport fell by 15.0%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport dropped by 23.3%, in suburban transport by 29.3% and in international transport by 18.5%, whereas in national transport it rose by 13.1%. Compared to the first quarter of 2018, the total number of passenger- kilometres increased by 1.7%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport grew by 24.4% and in national transport by 10.2%, while in suburban transport it decreased by 15.4% and in international transport by 4.9%.
