Transport of passengers by bus, first quarter, 2018

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2018, compared to the same period of 2017, the total number
of passengers carried in road passenger transport decreased by 1.2%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers
carried in urban transport decreased by 4.5,%, in suburban transport by 1.6%, and in international transport by 6.4%, whereas in
national transport it increased by 25.1%.
In comparison with the fourth quarter of 2017, the total number of passengers carried declined by 4.4%. According to the kind of
transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport decreased by 13.1,%, in suburban transport it increased by 5.8%., in
national transport by 13.6%, while in international transport the number of passengers decreased by 10.7%.
In the first quarter of 2018, in comparison with the same period of 2017, the total number of passenger - kilometres in road passenger
transport decreased by 5.1%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger- kilometres in urban transport decreased by
31.0%, in suburban transport by 5.9 %, and in international transport by 5.8%, whereas in national transport it increased by 23.7%.
Compared to the fourth quarter of 2017, the total number of passenger - kilometres increased by 4.1%. According to the kind of
transport, the number of passenger - kilometres in urban transport decreased by 5.9%, in suburban transport increased by 12.5%, in
national transport by 13.8 %, while in international transport it decreased by 6.0 %.
