Transport of passengers by bus, fourth quarter of 2017

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the fourth quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016, the total
number of passengers carried in road passenger transport decreased by 5.9%. According to the kind of transport, the number of
passengers carried in urban transport declined by 8.8% and in suburban transport by 3.1%, while in national transport it rose by 2.6%
and in international transport by 9.5%.
In comparison with the third quarter of 2017, the total number of passengers carried grew by 22.4%. According to the kind of transport,
the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 27.2% and in suburban transport by 25.9%, whereas in national
transport it fell by 6.1% and in international transport by 29.2%.
In the fourth quarter of 2017, in comparison with the same period of 2016, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport rose by 4.4%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport dropped by 16.2%
and in national transport by 4.5%, while in suburban transport it grew by 13.6% and in international transport by 28.0%.
Compared to the third quarter of 2017, the total number of passenger-kilometres declined by 3.0%. According to the kind of transport,
the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport increased by 17.9% and in suburban transport by 24.0%, whereas in national
transport it decreased by 7.5% and in international transport by 23.9%.
