Transport of passengers by bus, second quarter of 2017

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016, the
total number of passengers carried in road passenger transport increased by 9.9%. According to the kind of transport, the
number of passengers carried in urban transport grew by 7.7%, in suburban transport by 12.5%, in national transport by 13.2%
and in international transport by 17.5%.
In comparison with the first quarter of 2017, the total number of passengers carried was up by 6.1%. According to the kind of
transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 2.0%, in suburban transport by 9.2%, in national
transport by 22.8% and in international transport by 11.2%.
In the second quarter of 2017, in comparison with the same period of 2016, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road
passenger transport rose by 30.4%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport
increased by 32.8%, in suburban transport by 37.2%, in national transport by 7.7% and in international transport by 49.8%.
Compared to the first quarter of 2017, the total number of passenger-kilometres grew by 13.5%. According to the kind of
transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport increased by 12.0%, in suburban transport by 12.5%, in
national transport by 20.6% and in international transport by 9.9%.
