According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the third quarter of 2024, a total of 9 433 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport, a decrease of 6.9% compared to the same period last year. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport decreased by 7.4% and in suburban transport by 10.4% while in national transport increased by 13.2%, and in international transport by 2.7%.
In the third quarter of 2024, in comparison with the same period of 2023, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport increased by 8.9%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport increased by 17.3%, in suburban transport decreased by 1.3%, in national transport increased by 7.4%, and in international transport increased by10.8%.
