According to the data of the State Statistical Office, a total of 11 166 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport in
the fourth quarter of 2023, a decrease of 12.5% compared to the same period last year. According to the kind of transport, the number
of passengers carried in urban transport decreased by 16.1%, in suburban transport it decreased by 9.9%, in national transport it
increased by 2.9%, and in international transport it decreased by 14.6%.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, in comparison with the same period of 2022, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger
transport decreased by 38.5%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport decreased
by 87.8%, in suburban transport it decreased by 63.2%, in national transport it increased by 4.6%, and in international transport it
decreased by 6.7%.
