According to the data of the State Statistical Office, a total of 9711 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport in the third quarter of 2021, a decrease of 1.2% compared to the same period last year. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 0.3%, in national transport by 12.3% and in international transport by 296.0%, while in suburban transport it decreased by 6.6%.
In the third quarter of 2021, in comparison with the same period of 2020, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport increased by 79.0%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport decreased by 15.9%, while in suburban transport it increased by 15.8%, in national transport by 26.3%, and in international transport by 313.4%.
