According to the data of the State Statistical Office, a total of 9 521 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport in the second quarter of 2021, an increase of 33.4% compared to the same period last year. According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 61.0%, in suburban transport by 4.2%, and in national transport by 32.1%.
In the second quarter of 2021, in comparison with the same period of 2020, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport increased by 117.4%. According to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport increased by 3.1%, in suburban transport by 15.9%, and in national transport by 64.2%.
