Turnover indices in the Trade Sector, 2011 - Final data -
30.03.2012
According to the State Statistical Office final data, in 2011, real retail trade turnover increased in the following
groups/classes: food, beverages and tobacco; non-food products, except fuel and retail trade, except fuel, and
decreased in the group retail trade of automotive fuel.
Turnover trade indicators measure the turnover in retail and wholesale trade in the form of nominal and real (price
adjusted) index numbers, and their change rates rather than absolute (monetary) turnover. Hence, the indicator
describes exclusively the development and not the level of turnover.
Data published in this release are final data, calculated with 2010 as a constant base year, as well as compared
with the same month of the previous year. Calculated indices are not adjusted (seasonally, calendar or working day
adjusted).
