According to the preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, in January 2025, in comparison with January 2024, the turnover rate in the following groups/classes: Retail trade in food, beverages and tobacco increased by 2.2% in nominal and decreased by 3.4% in real terms, Retail sale of non-food products, except fuel increased by 5.1% in nominal and by 2.1% in real terms, Retail trade, except automotive fuel increased by 3.7% in nominal and decreased by 0.7% in real terms and Retail trade of automotive fuel, increased by 2.8% in nominal and by 1.7% in real terms.
Starting from 2024, the monthly indexes for trade turnover are calculated with a new base year of 2021 = 100. All indices that were previously published with the base 2015 = 100, are reworked with the new base year and published in the MakStat database.
