According to the preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, in February 2024, in comparison with February 2023, the turnover in
retail trade increased in the following groups/classes: Retail sale of non-food products, except fuel (by 16.0% in nominal terms and
by 11.3% in real terms), Retail trade, except automotive fuel (by 8.1% in nominal terms and by 4.4% in real terms), Retail trade of
automotive fuel (by 2.8% in nominal terms and 5.4% in real terms).
Fell has only in real terms of the group Retail sale of food, beverages and tobacco by 1.6%.Starting from 2024, the monthly indices
for trade turnover are calculated with a new base year of 2021=100. All indices that were previously published with the base year
2015=100, are reworked with the new base year and published in the MakStat database.
