Survey on income and living conditions,
2012
In 2012, for the third time, the State Statistical Office conducted the Survey on Income and Living Condition 2012, which represents a source of data on poverty and social exclusion. Statistics on income and living conditions are an instrument for presenting comparable data on incomes, poverty, social exclusion and living conditions. Social exclusion and living conditions are monitored at the household level, while labour, education and health data are collected at the individual level, for persons aged 16 and over. The survey is the basis for calculating structural indicators for comparative analysis at the EU level, as well as for calculating the redistribution of income and the manifestation of poverty and social exclusion. Following Eurostat’s recommendations, the State Statistical Office conducted the survey for the first time in 2009 as a pilot, and in 2010 as a regular Survey on Income and Living Conditions. The survey continued in 2011 and 2012, as planned in the Work Programme of the State Statistical Office.
