The publication “Foreign Trade Exchange of Republic of Macedonia” is an regular annual edition prepared by the State Statistical Office. The last one refers to the foreign trade exchange in 2006.
The State Statistical Office applies the basic statistical standards, definitions and recommendations of the UN Statistics Division, harmonised with the standards, definitions and recommendations of the European Union’s Statistical
Office - Eurostat in the statistical foreign trade survey, which enables the international data comparison. A high degree of harmonisation is achieved by introducing the Single Administrative Document, by implementation the methodological definitions concerning the unit, time and territory of observation, partner country, value and quantity registration, as well as by implementation of the international classifications and nomenclatures such as: Standard International Trade Classification-SITC-rev.4, Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System-HS, The Classification by Broad Economic Categories BEC, Country nomenclature according to ISO-Code Alpha-2.
