2015
The statistical review "Livestock, 2015" presents data on the number of livestock, poultry and beehives and dataon livestock production: meat, milk, wool, eggs and honey.
The data are presented at the national and at the regional level, according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Unitsfor Statistics (NUTS) from 2013, separately for the two sectors - the individual agricultural holdings and the businessentities.
The methodology, definitions and standards used for collecting and processing the presented statistical data in thisarea are in accordance with the statistical practice of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as with the recommendations ofEUROSTAT and the Food and Agriculture Organisation - FAO.
Data from the Statistical Farm Register were used as the basis for conducting statistical surveys in the area oflivestock husbandry in the individual sector.
The statistical review consists of three conceptual parts.
In the first part the reader can find some basic information and clarifications on the used methodology, conceptsand definitions, in the second one there are basic statistical data at the national level for the period 2011-2015, while thethird part contains more detailed data at the regional level for both production sectors in agriculture.
The State Statistical Office hopes that this Statistical Review will fulfil its main role of presenting to the public andto the users basic data in the area of livestock statistics.
