Methodological explanation for the news release:


Graduated students at the higher schools and faculties


The data presented in this Release were collected by the statistical survey on graduated students in the Republic of Macedonia, which as a regular statistical survey is conducted annually by the State Statistical Office.

Definitions

Tertiary institutions are: Universities and Higher schools. Tertiary institutions within the university are: faculties, art academies and higher schools.

University is the highest autonomous tertiary, scientific and art institution which provides the uniformity in performing and development of tertiary education, science, art and competence, and through its own units from different study fields transmits knowledge in several scientific and art disciplines.

Faculty is the tertiary education institution which performs educational, scientific, research or applied activity in study and scientific fields, according to study programmes of one or more related scientific, art or vocational spheres in the first, second and third cycle of studies.

Higher school is the tertiary education institution which performs tertiary education and art activity as vocational studies, specialist studies and applied activity in one or more mutually related qualifications.

Graduated students are the persons that have finished studies at higher schools or faculties as full-time or part-time students.
