Indices of employees in industry
Definitions and calculation method
Employees in industry are considered to be anyone employed in a reporting unit at the end of month, irrespective of whether that day they were present at work, on holiday or on sick-leave, etc and covers only those employed in industry, regardless of whether they are engaged in production in auxiliary, general or management activities.
The index of employees in industry is calculated by the following formula:
I = ∑ N i / Ø ∑ No
∑ N i- number of employees in industry in the current period
Ø ∑ N o- average number of employees in industry in the base period
