Sources of data collection
Sources of data collection for the semi-annual report on electricity and natural gas prices are Semi-annual survey on electricity prices Ene.C5 and Semi-annual survey on natural gas Ene.C3.
Data scope
In the process of collecting data from the reporting units the method of full coverage is used (for business entities that perform energy activity trade of electricity, business entities that supply electricity on unregulated and regulated market and business entities that perform energy activity trade, supply and distribution of natural gas. The processing of data on natural gas prices does not include quantities of natural gas consumed in Combined Heat Plants (CHP) for electricity and natural gas production.
Definitions

Energy and supply includes: Price of procurement of natural gas in the country or from import, supplied energy costs, costs for management of the natural gas transmission system and other supply costs. Price with VAT excluded = Energy and supply + transmission costs + distribution costs Price with VAT included = Price with VAT excluded + VAT Normal cubic meter is gas volume at temperature 20°C and pressure 1.01325 bar. Net calorific value = 0.9*Gross calorific value.
Calculation method
Prices are calculated in accordance with Regulation 2016/1952 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on European statistics on natural gas and electricity prices.
Natural gas prices per GJ are calculated by using the average gross calorific value of natural gas for the relevant semester.
