According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the total number of cattle decreased by 2.3% in 2024 compared to 2023. The number of cattle declined both in individual agricultural holdings and in business entities.
The number of pigs in 2024, compared to 2023, dropped by 7.1%. There was an increase of 27.1% in the number of pigs in business entities.
The total number of sheep recorded a decrease of 11.9%.
In the same period, the number of goats grew by 14.5%.
The number of poultry in 2024, compared to the previous year, fell by 9.9%.
