Gross domestic product of the Republic of North Macedonia in 2021 -definitive data

According to the definitive data of the State Statistical Office, obtained from the annual reports of business entities and other sources,
the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 was 729 445 million denars and in comparison with 2020, it increased by 9.0% in nominal
terms. The real GDP growth rate in 2021, compared to 2020, was 4.5%.
The following sectors had the biggest share of value added 19.6% in the structure of GDP in 2021: (G, H and I) Wholesale and retail trade;
repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; Transportation and storage; Accommodation and food service activities.
The final consumption in 2021, in comparison with 2020, increased by 10.1% in nominal terms, while its share in the structure of GDP
was 83.6%.
In 2021, the share of export of goods and services in GDP was 65.4%.
According to the definitive data, the total value of gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) for 2021 was 171 094 million denars.
In the technical structure of GFCF, construction participated with 56.9%, machinery and equipment with 33.5%, and the rest of GFCF
with 9.6%.
