According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2016, the business entities engaged in construction activities completed construction works in the amount of 34 689 785 thousand denars.
Of that amount, 10 858 409 thousand denars were for constructions in private ownership.
During 2016, building activities were performed on 2 301 structures, and a total of 3 483 dwellings were completed, with total useful floor area of 214 304 m2, of which 3 440 were in private ownership.
The average useful floor area of the completed dwellings was 61.5 m2.
By regions, most construction activities were performed in the Skopje Region, followed by South-West, East, etc.
