According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2020, the business entities engaged in construction activities completed construction works in the amount of 32 718 450 thousand denars.
Of that amount, 12 533 204 thousand denars were for constructions in private ownership.
During 2020, building activities were performed on 2 385 structures, and a total of 2 335 dwellings were completed, with total useful floor area of 152 825 m2, of which 2 299 were in private ownership.
The average useful floor area of the completed dwellings was 65.5 m2.
By regions, the most construction activities were performed in the Skopje Region, followed by South-West, Pelagonia, etc.
