According to the State Statistical Office data, the total commercial timber production in state-owned forests in the second quarter of 2023, compared to the second quarter of 2022, decreased by 24.9%.
An increase was observed in the production of other roundwood of coniferous and stack wood of coniferous species.
There was a decrease in the production of logs, mining and fuel wood – from coniferous and broad-leaved species.
In the same period sales of forest products amounted to 82 255 m3 and decreased by 37.5%.
